INFORMATION & POLICIES
Legal Notice
Important boundaries and disclosures for the Fighting My Case immigration information assistant.
Not a lawyer, legal representative, or legal-services provider
Fighting My Case is software that provides general educational information and organizational support, including working factual drafts for review. It is not a lawyer, law firm, legal-services provider, or DOJ-recognized organization. It does not provide individualized legal advice, evaluate eligibility, recommend a case-specific legal strategy, certify a draft as legally sufficient or file documents on your behalf, or represent users before USCIS, EOIR, the BIA, immigration courts, consulates, or any other authority. It is not a substitute for a licensed attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative working through a recognized organization. No attorney-client, representative-client, fiduciary, or confidential professional relationship is created.
No legal advice or guaranteed result
A response is generated from the facts and question you provide, which may be incomplete or misunderstood. It is not a legal opinion, eligibility decision, filing instruction tailored to your full record, or prediction of an outcome. Similar cases may have different results. You remain responsible for deciding whether to act and for getting qualified advice for your circumstances.
No government affiliation
Fighting My Case is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, EOIR, the Department of State, any immigration court, or any federal, state, or local government agency.
AI limitations
Public chat returns excerpts from a saved official-source library. Search can miss relevant passages or context, and source information can change after collection. A source link does not establish that an excerpt applies to your situation. Verify every material statement and deadline on the official page. Interface and policy translations may contain machine-translation errors.
Language and accessibility limitations
The app makes its interface and policy pages selectable in 100 languages using machine translation. Selecting a language does not mean a qualified human translator or immigration professional reviewed the translation. Translated wording may omit nuance or contain errors. For legal terms, deadlines, forms, and decisions, compare the answer with the official source and get qualified language assistance where needed.
High-stakes situations
Seek qualified help promptly for detention, removal proceedings, criminal history, fraud or misrepresentation concerns, prior orders, missed hearings, asylum deadlines, expiring status, requests for evidence, notices of intent to deny, appeals, motions, or other time-sensitive matters.
Official information
Government forms, fees, filing addresses, editions, processing rules, and policies change. Confirm them directly on the relevant official government website before filing or paying anything. External links open separate websites governed by their own terms.
